Program Supervisor

 

Job Summary:           

The Program Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supervising

the overall operations of the program to ensure that quality of service delivery is maintained, and that lines of communication among the families, staff and program managers are functional and positive.

The Program Supervisor assures proper staffing, budget control and

the completion of all required documentation related to the

functioning of the home.  The Supervisor assures appropriate staff

interactions and support for all residents in the program.  Some direct

care involved.

 

Qualifications:           

A Bachelors Degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation or a related

Behavioral Science is preferred.  Minimum one-year supervisory

experience, plus three years working with people with developmental

disabilities.  Valid New Jersey driver’s license required.

 

 

Assistant Supervisor

                       

Job Summary:           

Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, this position assumes

responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and of the residential

program activities with particular emphasis on resident training,

recreation and leisure activities, medical care and integration into the community.  The Assistant Supervisor must participate in the training of staff members in the requirements of the skill instructor position and will have input to evaluations and corrective actions when required.

 

Qualifications:           

Some college education preferred, minimum of high-school education.

One year experience working with people with developmental

disabilities preferably in a residential setting.  A demonstrated ability to supervise staff, follow directives and take responsibility for the well being of residents.  Must have a valid New Jersey driver license and meet the agency insurability requirements.

 

 

Skill Instructor

 

Job Summary:           

Reporting to the Program Supervisor or designate, this position is a

direct care position focusing on improving the quality of life of our

consumers.  This is accomplished through the implementation and

facilitation of behavioral/habilitation plans, teaching and monitoring skills development and providing support and mentoring for all consumers through a person centered approach.

 

Qualifications:           

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus a valid, current New

Jersey Driver License and meet agency insurability requirements.

Must be 18 years of age.  Some experience working with individuals

with developmental disabilities preferred.  Must be able to successfully complete all required training programs and be able to follow directions and complete all assigned responsibilities. 

 

 

 

Van/Bus Aide (P/T)

 

Job Summary:           

This position is responsible for assisting developmentally disabled adults on and off agency vehicles and to their destination in the course of transporting them to and from agency approved locations.  The aide is responsible for monitoring consumers on the vehicle assuring that all are being transported safely.

 

Qualifications:           

Valid New Jersey driver’s license, one year driving experience, insurable by Arc/Union agency carrier under the MVR established guidelines for acceptable driver required

 

HOURS             Split Shift: 7AM-9:30AM and 2PM-4:30PM

 

 

Direct Care Staff Needed!!

 

The Arc of Union County is looking for caring people who have free time during the weekend and are looking to make a difference in lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.  No experience necessary, training provided. Must have current NJ driver’s license with a clean driving record and an HS diploma or equivalent.  Send resume or apply in person.

Family Support Respite Workers and Recreation Aides

 

 

In-Home Respite - 20 hours per month

 

Spend one-on-one time with a child or adult in their own home.  Positions available throughout Union County

 

After School Program

 

Monday – Wednesday, 3pm to 6pm in Cranford

 

Saturday Programs for adults and children

 

2 Saturdays per month in Cranford, 10:15am to 4:15am

 

Recreation

 

Recreation aides needed for early afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. 

 

Hotel Respite Program

 

Various weekends throughout the year, 7pm Friday to 4pm Sunday

Some experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.  All Respite and Recreation positions are part-time.  Ideal for college students or those looking for additional income.
