Intensive In-Home Program


Position: ABA Therapist
Job Summary: Responsible for delivering intensive in-home habilitative (IIH) individualized behavioral intervention supports and services for children under the age of 21 who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of an assigned BCBA/BCaBA, the ABA Therapist will be responsible for the provision of ABA services that are based on needs identified in the behavior support plan. The incumbent's philosophy will be compatible with agency guidelines and the philosophy of DCF & New Jersey's System of Care (CSOC).
Qualifications: At least one year experience with Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelor's degree.

Position: BCBA/BCaBA
Job Summary: Responsible for conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and developing Behavioral Support Plans for the intensive in home habilitative (IIH) individualized behavioral intervention supports and services for children under the age of 21 who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. Early Intervention


Position: Behavior Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologist Consultants
Job Summary: The Arc of Union County's Early Intervention Program is in search of per diem consultants to join our multi-disciplinary team providing services to children with special needs ages 0-3 in their homes or community settings throughout Union County.  Prospective consultants must have flexible schedules in order to meet the needs of the children and families served.  NJ professional license and valid NJ driver's license required.  At least one year of documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years of ages preferred.

Kohler School


Position: Special Education Teacher
Job Summary: The Arc Kohler School is a leading collaborative preschool thru 8th grade educational program. We meet the unique needs of children with developmental disabilities. This position requires strong communication and collaboration skills.

Transportation


Position: Driver (Substitute)
Job Summary: Responsible for driving agency vehicles to transport staff and/or individuals to and from approved sites.  The Driver is responsible for the upkeep including cleanliness and regular maintenance of any assigned agency vehicle and related equipment including safety, emergency, and first aid equipment.  High School diploma or equivalent.  Minimum of three years driving experience.  Ideally will have experience in the field of developmental disabilities and thorough knowledge of geographic area.  Must have a current and valid New Jersey Driver license.  Driving record must meet the agency insurability requirements.  Must be able to drive automatic vehicles.  Must be able to meet and maintain all agency, CARF, DDD, DVR and other funding source pre-employment and employment qualifications.  Must be physically capable of driving the vehicle and assisting individuals as needed.

Position: Bus Aide (Substitute)
Job Summary: As assigned, the Transportation Services Aide is responsible for assisting all assigned consumers on and off agency vehicles and to their destination in the course of transporting them to and from agency approved locations.  The aide is responsible for monitoring consumers on the vehicle assuring that all are being transported safely.  High School diploma or equivalent.  Experience with transportation services preferred.  Must successfully complete all agency required training programs.    Must successfully pass Agency approved CPR and First Aid trainings within three months from date of hire.

Residential Services


Position: Skill Instructor & Substitute Skill Instructor
Job Summary: Reporting to the Substitute Employee Administrator or designated Program Supervisor, this position is a direct care worker focusing on improving the quality of life of our individuals served. This is accomplished through the implementation and facilitation of behavioral/habilitation plans, teaching and monitoring skills development and providing support and mentoring for all individuals through a person centered approach. Candidates must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent plus a valid, current New Jersey Driver License and ability to meet agency insurability requirements. Must be 18 years of age. At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required. Must be able to successfully complete all required training programs, orientations and be able to follow directions and complete all assigned responsibilities. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must have basic math skills.

Position: Assistant Program Supervisor
Job Summary: Reporting to the Program Supervisor or designate, this position has direct care responsibilities as well as supervision of others for the daily operation of the residential program.  The Assistant Supervisor will assure that all staff assignments are carried out in accord with agency guidelines and in compliance with applicable policies and procedures. The Assistant Supervisor will have responsibilities for assuring that all health, nutrition, social and recreational needs of the residents are met in accord with agency policies and procedures and with a person centered approach.  Responsibilities will include supervision of Skill Instructors as well as participation in the evaluation of staff and recommendation of any corrective action.  Must have a minimum of one-year experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.  Experience in residential programs with some supervisory responsibility preferred.  Associates Degree highly desirable; Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.  Must have a valid, current New Jersey Driver License and meet agency insurability requirements.
