Behavior Supports & Services Department Program Administrator – Behavior Services |
| Job Summary: |
Under the direction of the Director of Behavior Supports & Services or designate, this position is responsible for the overall management and supervision of The Arc of Union County Opportunities Day Programs. These programs serve adults with behavioral special needs, including difficulty with impulse control, ADHD, or other behavioral challenges that impede their ability to work or benefit from a traditional ATC placement. The Program Administrator is responsible for providing programmatic direction, leadership, ensuring the safety, efficiency and supervision of individuals served and the development of staff competencies and input into the hiring of Opportunities Program staff and supervisors. The Program Administrator will assist the Director in the development and implementation of alternative, innovative ideas for programmatic enhancement and new services. The incumbent will also be responsible, in the absence of the Department Director, to oversee Behavioral Specialists and respective behavioral services. The Program Administrator is responsible for the direct supervision of the Opportunities Program Supervisors and ensuring consistent quality of services is delivered in accordance with agency, CARF, DDD, DHS and professional guidelines. |
| Qualifications: |
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Masters Degree and Board Certification in Behavior Analysis – BCBA preferred) in Psychology or related human services field. Supervisory experience providing oversight within an adult day program setting, serving adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges required. Strong management, planning, written, oral communication and computer skills are required.

Coordinator: Transition, Vocational Training, Evaluation & Supports |
| Job Summary: |
Under the direction of the Employment Services Director or designate, this position is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the The Arc of Union County's Employment Services Department including, School to Career Transition, Supported Employment, facility based vocational training and Vocational Evaluation Services of The Arc of Union County.
The incumbent is responsible for providing programmatic direction and leadership to all assigned programs. Additionally, this position will be responsible for implementation of program changes or new programs or services as directed. This position will directly supervise: the Program Supervisors for the VTC, RPI, CWC and SPWC as well as the Supervisor of Supported Employment. The incumbent will assure the development of staff competencies and the quality of service delivery in assigned programs and in accord with a "person focused" philosophy. This position is responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive and individualized assessment process for vocational evaluation, work adjustment and School-to-Career Transition Programs. This position will initiate a process which will maximize competitive employment of persons with disabilities. |
| Qualifications: |
Masters Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation or a vocationally related field preferred. Bachelor Degree, with emphasis in rehabilitation area required. Depending on degree, may need to attend and successfully complete a DVRS approved training course within 6 months of employment. Supervisory experience in the field of disabilities, preferrably with develomental disabilities. Certification by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification or the Commission of Certification of Work Adjustment and Vocational Evaluation Specialists, and/or professional membership in the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association or the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association. If not certified or eligible for professional membership, must be willing to actively work towards obtaining the necessary credentials.

Substitute Classroom Aide |
| Job Summary: |
Under the direction of the classroom teacher or Program Administrator, this position is responsible to support the teacher in implementing educational programs and services in the agency education and day programs.
The Classroom Aide will also participate in the educational program of the students, both in and out of the school building, and assure student safety at all times. Must be able to maneuver persons in wheel chairs and persons who use other ambulation devices and will be required to physically lift, transfer and or otherwise support persons with disabilities.

Teacher Assistant |
| Job Summary: |
Under the direction of the classroom teacher or program administrator, this position is responsible to support the teacher in implementing educational programs and services in the agency education programs. The Teacher Assistant will also participate in the educational program of the students, both in and out of the school building, and assure student safety at all times. The Teacher Assistant will co-facilitate the classroom activities and recommend activities to be included in daily lessons. This position will assume leadership of the classroom whenever the teacher is not present. |
| Qualifications: |
Possession of Bachelor's Degree, and N.J. Department of Education Teacher or Substitute Teacher Certification. Some experience with children with disabilities helpful.

Physical Therapist |
| Job Summary: |
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Therapy Services or designate and in accord with agency and profession specific guidelines, this position is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of program participants/students utilizing appropriate assessment tools and techniques. The incumbent will prepare initial evaluation and progress reports as required as well as design and implement goals, treatment plans and clinical interventions based on the evaluation and assessment and in accord with individual needs. The Physical therapist will oversee and approve all profession specific tasks as conducted by the Physical Therapy Assistants. |

Assistant Supervisor |
| Job Summary: |
Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, this position assumes responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and of the residential program activities with particular emphasis on resident training, recreation and leisure activities, medical care and integration into the community. The Assistant Supervisor must participate in the training of staff members in the requirements of the skill instructor position and will have input to evaluations and corrective actions when required. |
| Qualifications: |
Some college education preferred, minimum of high-school education. One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities, preferably in a residential setting. A demonstrated ability to supervise staff, follow directives and take responsibility for the well-being of residents. Must have a valid New Jersey driver license and meet the agency insurability requirements.

| Job Summary: |
Reporting to the Program Supervisor or designate, this position is a direct care position focusing on improving the quality of life of our consumers. This is accomplished through the implementation and facilitation of behavioral/habilitation plans, teaching and monitoring skills development and providing support and mentoring for all consumers through a person centered approach. |

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus a valid, current New Jersey Driver License and meet agency insurability requirements. Must be 18 years of age. Some experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Program Supervisor |
| Job Summary: |
The Program Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supervising the overall operations of the program to ensure that quality of service delivery is maintained, and that lines of communication among the families, staff and program managers are functional and positive. The Program Supervisor assures proper staffing, budget control and the completion of all required documentation related to the functioning of the home. The Supervisor assures appropriate staff interactions and support for all residents in the program. Some direct care involved. |
