Job Summary: Under the direction of the Camp Director or designate, this position is responsible for planning and administering specialist activities in art, dance, music, or sports. This includes daily classes, rainy day activities, and other special events. In addition, when not performing specialist duties, the Specialist will work with an assigned group. Job Summary: Under the direction of the Camp Director or designate, this position is responsible for direct care and supervision of campers. This position will be assigned to one specific camper throughout the season, but is expected to provide support and supervision to all children in the program. Position: Driver (Substitute)
Job Summary: Responsible for driving agency vehicles to transport staff and/or individuals to and from approved sites.  The Driver is responsible for the upkeep including cleanliness and regular maintenance of any assigned agency vehicle and related equipment including safety, emergency, and first aid equipment.  High School diploma or equivalent.  Minimum of three years driving experience.  Ideally will have experience in the field of developmental disabilities and thorough knowledge of geographic area.  Must have a current and valid New Jersey Driver license.  Driving record must meet the agency insurability requirements.  Must be able to drive automatic vehicles.  Must be able to meet and maintain all agency, CARF, DDD, DVR and other funding source pre-employment and employment qualifications.  Must be physically capable of driving the vehicle and assisting individuals as needed.

Position: Program Administrator
Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Program Administrator of Residential Services, or designate, this position is responsible for the overall management and supervision of assigned programs of The Arc of Union County. The Administrator is responsible for providing programmatic direction and leadership to all assigned programs. Additionally, this position will be responsible for implementation of new programs and services as directed. The incumbent will assemble staffing teams and assure the development of staff competencies and the quality of service delivery in assigned programs and in accord with a "Person Focused" philosophy. The Program Administrator will maintain program policies and procedures which ensure that the programs operate in a safe and efficient manner. This position is responsible to ensure that all programming provides comprehensive successful efforts which lead to the full inclusion of all individuals served in community life and address their social, vocational, recreational, daily living and health needs. The Program Administrator will be responsible for the direct supervision of Program Supervisors assigned to their area of responsibility as well as supervisory evaluations and personnel actions. Bachelor Degree Preferred. Three or more years experience working in a residential facility, managing a residential facility and supervisory responsibilities with proven success encompassing all areas above serving a population of adults with developmental disabilities is required. Must have thorough knowledge of all DDD, CARF, Licensing and other external regulations and requirements. Position: Skill Instructor (Substitute)
Job Summary:

Reporting to the Substitute Employee Administrator or designated Program Supervisor, this position is a direct care worker focusing on improving the quality of life of our individuals served. Position: Program Supervisor

Career Services & Adult Day Services


Position: Assistant Director, Career Services & Adult Day Programs
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Career Services & Adult Day Supports, this position is responsible for the oversight and day to day management of assigned DDD funded day habilitation programs and related services, including but not limited to meaningful on-site habilitation services and opportunities, community integration activities, pre-vocational training, transportation services and coordination of supports with other services (e.g. behavioral health services). The incumbent will ensure accurate record keeping (e.g. attendance, documentation on the day habilitation activities) and will ensure the documentation and maintenance of service delivery necessary to substantiate billing claims. This position will directly oversee assigned Program Supervisors and Program Instructors and will ensure the effective coordination of daily curriculum with Supervisors and Program Instructors. The Assistant Director is responsible for the maintenance of day program certifications and compliance with all DDD, Medicaid and accrediting requirements. This position will work closely with the Quality Assurance Department and Billing Division to assure accurate and timely pre-authorizations for services and continued Medicaid eligibility for individuals served. The Assistant Director will ensure that all assigned programs operate in a safe and efficient manner and individuals served are supervised and supported at all times.
Qualifications: Masters Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred; Bachelor’s in related field plus a minimum of three years management experience, preferably directing the operations of day habilitation programs for adults with developmental disabilities are required. Thorough knowledge of DDD, Medicaid and CARF requirements. Demonstrated knowledge in the use of Electronic Health Records and successful experience in creating and sustaining day habilitation services. Superior management skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Position: Adult Day Program Supervisor
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Department Director, Program Administrator or designate, this position is responsible for the supervision and administration of the assigned work center(s) or day program(s). The Supervisor will assure that all staff assignments are carried out in accord with agency guidelines and in compliance with applicable policies and procedures. The Supervisor will monitor and facilitate all consumer related plans and goals established through the IDT process. The Supervisor is accountable for the safety and well being of individuals served and their growth and development through meaningful age appropriate work and/or activities. Where applicable he/she is responsible for production levels and quality of the work performed. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Adult Day Supports Specialists and evaluation of assigned staff including recommending corrective action where required.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Program Administrator, Community Employment & Transition Services or designate, this position is responsible for the placement, training and support of individuals in competitive and supported employment positions in community work settings. The Job Coach is responsible for job development, job advocacy, job matching, on the job training, support and follow-along services for individuals served through The Arc of Union County. This position will provide on-the-job assistance to individuals and develop and maintain a positive advocacy relationship with employers. The Job Coach will develop and maintain all employment related records and documentation for adults and students, as required. Position: Program Specialist
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, this position is responsible for the implementation of alternative, innovative day programming activities in a positive, structured environment offering community integration activities and enhancement of quality of life. This program serves adults with behavioral special needs, including difficulty with impulse control, ADHD, or other behavioral challenges that impede their ability to work or benefit from a traditional ATC placement. The Program Specialist will assist in developing and implementing such activities which emphasize the teaching of self-control, increased social, communication, vocational skills and the implementation of individualized behavioral services. Program Specialists are responsible to assist Program Supervisor with delegated paperwork and other program related tasks assigned with accuracy and within required timeframes. Minimum requirements of a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Psychology, or related human service field preferred) plus some experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and behavior challenges preferred.
