- The Arc
Kohler School is a private school,
the educational component of The Arc of Union County which tailors
its educational program
to meet the needs of each child. Our students have many
developmental disabilities including Down syndrome, mental
retardation, cerebral palsy, autism, spina bifida, and other
related disabilities.
- The Arc
Kohler School’s
state–of-the-art facility is located in the community of
Mountainside, minutes from Route 22, Interstate 78 and the Garden
State Parkway.
- The program consists of about 75 students
between the ages of three through nine who have been classified as
preschool or
primary
multiply disabled in an extended school year program,
annually.
- The program’s philosophy utilizes a combination
of approaches in special education, primary education, and early
childhood education that focuses on the abilities of each individual child.
