The Impact of National Health Care Reform
In March of 2010, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act (HCEARA). Taken together, these two new laws (referred to as "health care reform") are expected to have many direct and indirect benefits to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities nationwide.
