Children's Services - Early Intervention

Early InterventionThe Arc of Union County's Early Intervention Program is approved by The NJ Early Intervention System (NJEIS), which is administered by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services.

Eligibility for Early Intervention is determined based on either a 33% delay in one area or a 25% delay in 2 or more areas of a child's development. The areas of development include gross motor, fine motor, language, cognition and self-help. For more information, download a free brochure from NJ's Early Intervention System.

Or, to obtain information about NJEIS or a referral, please contact the statewide toll free number: (888) 653-4463.

At The Arc Bright Beginnings Child Development Center, we partner with families to assist their children from birth to 3 years of age to achieve developmental milestones. Once a referral is made by the NJEIS, we can help you schedule an evaluation, develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), provide therapist referrals, and obtain appropriate services for your child.

Please contact Meredith Emery Hofmann at (908) 276-6660 or mhofmann@arcunion.org with any questions or concerns about your child's development or the Early Intervention System.
