The Arc of Union County offers recreation and leisure activities throughout the year to promote physical and psychological well being. As a result, participants have the opportunity to develop friendships, build self confidence, and learn how to pursue personal interests.

The recreation bulletin T.R.A.I.L.S is published on a quarterly basis offering a variety of programs and events for children, adults and families.

For children ages 6-12, clinics are offered in soccer, karate, t-ball and basketball from September through July. For adults (ages 18 and older), a variety of social and recreational activities are available including game nights, athletic activities, trips to sporting events, concerts and museums, arts and crafts, movie night, dining out and much more. The recreation department is also involved with the New Jersey Special Olympics bowling division.
